Luck: The experience of success following a randomly occurring event. Games of luck are tied essentially to randomness, and the risks of the successful random events are subject to laws of probability. The player cannot affect the results by his or her efforts on a single play, but the odds of attaining success are subject to calculation. (Synonymous with chance, q.v.)
