DUE COLUMN BETTING

'Due-column Betting' (also: 'due column betting') is a type of fixed-profit betting strategy whereby a bettor increases the amount he wagers on a single proposition after each successive loss. According to this system, the bettor determines a target profit before he begins betting. Then he increases his bet on propositions following a loss in such a way that a win will recover the sum of all amounts he lost from his preceding bets plus gain him his predetermined profit.
While similar to both the Martingale and Labouchere strategies, "Due-column betting" differs from other like betting systems in that it accounts for the odds variance in successive parimutuel propositions. Still, it is often used interchangeably with the casino gambling term "progressive system," which refers to several similar betting systems typically employed at casino gaming tables.

System Explanation
Due-column wagering is considered a fixed-profit system because the Due-column bettor determines his desired profit before he begins betting. However, whereas with percentage-based money-management systems the bettor varies his bets as a percentage of his bankroll, with a series of Due-column bets he bets the amount necessary to make his desired profit plus the total amount necessary to recuperate what he has lost in all previous wagers.
Supposedly betting this way ensures that if the bettor correctly calls a single race at any point in the series he will have profited and can cease betting or begin a new series. Proponents of the system argue that the probability of experiencing ten consecutive losses if the bettor is an average, 33 percent handicapper is 1.82 percent. Consequently, they conclude, a Due-column bettor has a given probability of profiting from slightly more than 98 percent of all 10-race series. And, they therefore believe, a Due-column bettor will win the product of his designated profit times the expected percentage of wins per the number of series played; or, assuming the bettor's desired profit is $100, he will win about $9,800 per 100 series played.
The coining of "Due-column" is due to bettors' creating charts to track their bets. A typical Due-column chart is as follows:

Mathematical Analysis
There are several problems with the assumptions that Due-column bettors make, not the least of which is that the mathematical basis for the system is flawed. The average bettor in any series of horse races is a 33 percent handicapper with an average mutuel of $5.00. Such a bettor's mathematical expectation can be expressed as follows:

E(x) = .33 <--> ($1.50) - .67 = -$.175

According to this analysis, the average bettor's mathematical expectation would not provide a profit, but a loss because his expectation is a negative gain every bet. As a result, the bettor's playing the Due-column system will only multiply his losses over time. After 10 losses given the expression above, for instance, the bettor would average a loss of $1.75, thus making an upward-sloping expectation impossible.
Theoretically, the solution to this flaw in the Due-column system is for the bettor to consistently handicap and have a mutuel above the average rates. If, for example, a bettor had a handicap of 35 percent and mutuel of $6 his expectation could be expressed as follows:

E(x) = .35 x (2) - .65 = .05

This above-average bettor would then have a positive expected gain of 5 percent or $.05 every race. Still, should that bettor attempt to apply the Due-column system to increase his gains he will run into a second problem: Diminishing returns.
The bettor would run into diminishing returns because, as seen in the example Due-column chart above, the bets he must make increase exponentially compared to each preceding bet with each successive loss. Because of the nature of parimutuel betting, then, the bettor's larger wagers will depress his payout odds. As a result, the bettor's real expected return for the session will deflate far below his original target profit.
Furthermore, in horse racing no single horse runs more than one race. So, though jockeys might ride more than one race, each race is arguably an "independent event" and the Due-column bettor will therefore run afoul of the Law of Independent Trials; that is, believing the outcome of each event is significantly dependent on the outcome of the last he will commit the Gambler's Fallacy.
Indeed, insomuch as jockeys do ride in multiple races, horse races are not entirely independent events. The poor morale and physical enervation of a jockey who recently lost a close race previously could undermine his ability to win the following race. But even the worst jockey will have minimal effect on an outcome if riding a horse that performs far better than the other racers.
As with any series of independent propositions, then, only with trials numbering in the thousands can a Due-column bettor ensure that, on average, his historical number of wins will match his probable number of wins. Consequently, experiencing more than 10 losses in a single series is likely to occur according to the Law of Large Numbers, and as the chart above shows, continuing to play the Due-column system will require risking a bankroll proportionately far too large to wager for the expected return.
For all these reasons using the Due-column system is not only unproductive, but counterproductive. Because of this many contemporary gambling strategists strongly advise players not to consider it a winning strategy.

Impossibility Of A Betting System

The principle of the impossibility of a gambling system is a concept in probability. It states that in a random sequence, the selection of sub-sequences does not change the probability of specific elements. Although the concept had been vaguely discussed in various forms for some time, it is generally attributed to Richard von Mises, who used the term collective rather than sequence. Intuitively speaking, the principle states that it is not possible to select a sub-sequence of a random sequence in a way to improve the odds for a specific event. For instance, if a coin toss sequence is random with equal and independent 50/50 chances for heads and tails, then betting on heads every 3rd, 7th, or 21st toss, etc. does not change the odds of winning in the long run. Richard von Mises likened the principle of the impossibility of a gambling system to the principle of the conservation of energy, a law that can not be proven, but has held true in repeated experiments. Elsewhere von Mises had also discussed impossibility of other issues in science and human understanding, e.g. in his book on Positivism he discussed the impossibility of exact descriptions due to linguistic constraints. And von Mises was also supportive of the notion of the impossibility of strict determinism in physics. As a framework for the impossibility of a gambling system, Richard von Mises defined an infinite sequence of zeros and ones as a random sequence if it is not biased by having the frequency stability property i.e. the frequency of zeros goes to 1/2 and every sub-sequence we can select from it by a "proper" method of selection is also not biased.

A random walk on a cubic three dimensional lattice.

The sub-sequence selection criterion imposed by von Mises is important, because although 0101010101... is not biased, by selecting the odd positions, we get 000000... which is not random. Von Mises never totally formalized his definition of a proper selection rule for sub-sequences, but in 1940 Alonzo Church defined it as any recursive function which having read the first N elements of the sequence decides if it wants to select element number N+1. Church was a pioneer in the field of computable functions, and the definition he made relied on the Church Turing Thesis for computability. In the mid 1960s, A. N. Kolmogorov and D. W. Loveland independently proposed a more permissive selection rule. In their view Church's recursive function definition was too restrictive in that it read the elements in order. Instead they proposed a rule based on a partially computable process which having read any N elements of the sequence, decides if it wants to select another element which has not been read yet.
The principle influenced modern concepts in randomness, e.g. the work by A. N. Kolmogorov in considering a finite sequence random (with respect to a class of computing systems) if any program that can generate the sequence is at least as long as the sequence itself.

CONCLUSION
"If there is an exception to every rule, then every rule must have at least one exception; the exception to this one being that it has no exception." "There's always an exception to the rule, except to the exception of the rule — which is, in of itself, an accepted exception of the rule."
Each event is independent therefore designing betting system that corresponds to system elements is a NOGO and it might be to greater or lesser extent successful but it surely wont be mathematically 100% accurate. Making it complicate with often bizarre staking rules or martingale will only raise risk while it wont give any more certainty rather less then very first step.
Still there are punters that regularly profit from betting systems. Hence there is exception to every rule so there is exception to rule of betting system being impossible, but it has to be tailored to meet risk leveraging and profit maximizing and therefore cover loss for strike of success. It has to be carefully staked and steps bankroll independent one to another.

GOALS MATRIX

Introduction
This system is part of betting system professional designed for steady no risk profit in football. If you follow it to the letter you will surely profit as long there is soccer playing around the world. This system is closed box with profit flow and losing margin and all necessary precautions taken. It is tested and applied over thousand times in both simulation and real and I m using it as spine of my betting investments. Follow it to the point and don’t bend any of the rules for stakes and bet types because you re inviting disaster if anything changed.
This system don’t count or play on luck, and is not about hear said from tipsters or internet or newspapers and is not hyping on anything. It is totally what you do is what you get and any dumb ass can use it to make money in soccer betting. You don’t even need to be expert to be able to follow this system. You don’t need to know any of the team members their form etc and blind drunk and drugged if you follow it to the letter you will profit.
Expected ROI (return on investment) is around 30%
Law of Averages
The law of averages is a lay term used to express a belief that outcomes of a random event will "even out" within a small sample. As invoked in everyday life, the "law" usually reflects bad statistics or wishful thinking rather than any mathematical principle. While there is a real theorem that a random variable will reflect its underlying probability over a very large sample, the law of averages typically assumes that unnatural short-term "balance" must occur. Typical applications of the law also generally assume no bias in the underlying probability distribution, which is frequently at odds with the empirical evidence.
This system is designed for soccer but can also be applied to favorites, asian lines, handicaps and more likely anything like tennis and American Football, basketball, hockey, etc
I assume that by all means if following this system you will profit. I have tested it a lots of times in simulation and real if you perfect system obviously there is space for some improvement the profit could get higher but average are ROI (return on investment) 30%
If you use this system to the point and remain disciplined you will profit each and every time.

PROCESSING WITH

MODERN METHODS

Keep an eye out for bookie incentives for opening accounts – particularly when big meetings are on. Free bets, concessions, match-bets, special offers abound.
Check the small print of your credit card – some providers have begun charging a fee for online betting transactions.
If you do fall foul of the above ‘take on’, ring the customer service line and plead ignorance – you’ll probably get the fee refunded (I did!) – but only once.
Use close family members who never bet and have no interest in it to get more than one go at concession offers.
Consult websites like freebets.co.uk to keep tabs on special offers.
Don’t be afraid to follow your heart as well as your head. The idea of backing a horse because you want it to win rather than because you think it will win is derided by “serious” punters. But when you do win there is an extra lustre. Your soul is replenished, as well as your pocket. I backed Uncle Ernie, 20-1 winner of the 1997 Grand Annual at Cheltenham, because he was one of my favourite chasers, and because a few weeks earlier he had licked me when I visited Jimmy Fitzgerald’s Malton yard to pay my respects.
If you think you might back a horse but are in two minds about whether to have the bet or not, make the bet. I have never got over changing my mind about I Cried For You, just before the 2001 Cambridgeshire. As I waited for the bookmaker to answer the phone I overheard the Channel 4 Racing pundits sowing seeds of doubt regarding whether James Given’s gelding, a proven sevenfurlong horse, would stay the nine-furlong trip. I put down the phone without making the bet, and the form book tells how I Cried For You “was travelling embarrassingly easily entering the Dip and found plenty under pressure” before running out the easy winner at 33-1. Sheer agony. I decided there and then that the pain of backing a loser is as nothing to the torture of missing a good winner.
Read the Damon Runyon story “A Nice Price”, in which the gambler Sam the Gonoph learns that one bookmaker is quoting Yale at 1-3 to win the annual rowing race against Harvard: “I do not know anything about boat races,” Sam says, “and the Yales may figure as you say, but nothing between human beings is one to three. In fact,” Sam the Gonoph says, “I long ago come to the conclusion that all life is six to five against.” Sam’s observation that all life is 6-5 against is one of the most famous of betting quotes (right up there with the psychiatrist friend of Jeffrey Bernard who described betting as “collecting injustices”), but for a punter the insight that nothing between human beings is 1-3 can prove profitable when scanning the sports betting pages. Liverpool v. Barnsley and Barnsley v. Chelsea in the 2008 F.A. Cup come readily to mind as examples.
Politics can prove a wonderful betting medium – not because rank outsiders often win a political contest, but because by their very nature political fortunes flip-flop, and you can regularly manoeuvre yourself into the joyous position of having backed each of two at odds against. The trick is being able to detect a change in the political weather and strike at the optimum time. A week before the 1992 general election one bookmaker had Neil Kinnock-led Labour at 1-4, with John Major’s Conservatives on 5-2. With two days to go a Kinnock victory looked even more certain, and the same firm went 1-6 Labour, 7-2 Conservatives. Those with their ears to the ground sensed a late swing to the Tories in the wake of Labour’s notorious Sheffield rally, and many political savants made a killing by lumping on before the bookmakers got the message.
When betting on a horse race, always check the Tote price of your fancy before making the bet. Cases abound where the joy of backing a long-priced winner is shattered by the realization that a simple glance at the Tote odds might have brought a much bigger return. Imagine this: you’re at Cheltenham in March 2008 and you fancy a small flutter on Mister McGoldrick for the Racing Post Plate; you have a tenner with a course bookmaker at 66-1, which turns out to be Mister McGoldrick’s starting price; he wins unchallenged; you’re on Cloud Nine as you trouser the £670 – then plummet through the cloud when you see that the Tote win return is £147, or 146-1, fully 80 points – 80 points! – better than SP.
Always give due consideration to a horse which has won the race in question before, whatever his recent form – and especially if the race has an unusual feature. For example, the Gold Cup at Ascot is the only top-flight contest of the Flat season in Britain run over 2½ miles, and given its extreme long distance it is no surprise that the race has produced plenty of dual winners and, in the great Sagaro and Yeats, two triple winners. Royal Rebel, 8-1 winner of the Gold Cup in 2001, seemed to have lost his form on the runup to the following year’s renewal, but there was obviously something about this eccentric contest which brought out the best in him, and he beat the great Vinnie Roe a neck at 16-1.

RACING POST ROYAL ASCOT RULES

Respect horses with previous course form – Paul Kealy Concentrate on unravelling two - or at most three - races per day – Mel Cullinan
Don’t rely on horses coming into their own with, or being found out by, the stiff finish. It isn’t there any more – Richard Austin Pile in again if your selection drifts – Pietro Innocenzi

1. Provided that nine or more run in the Derby back the second and third each time they run the same season.
2. In the City & Suburban and Great Metropolitan, if 16 or 17 run, follow the winner until it wins again, and the second until it wins or loses twice. If more than 17 run, follow both the winner and second until they win again or until the end of the season.
3. Follow the next season, twice only, all that start at less than 20/1 in the Atlantic Stakes at the Liverpool July meeting.
4. In the Wokingham Stakes back the first five in the betting next time out only, provided at least 12 ran.
5. Follow the next season, twice only, the winner of any race at Epsom, provided that there were 17 or more runners.
6. Also follow twice only, the next season, any horse that ran second in a field of 19 or more in any race at Epsom.
7. Back the two horses that are second and fourth in the betting forecast of your mid-day paper. If you want to bet in one race a day take the principal race only, but always keep to the principal race. No bet if there are less than seven runners.
8. Any horse which runs first, second or third, and runs again within eight days (excluding Sundays), is to be backed each-way. Should it lose, but get placed, back it once more.
9. Back every horse that has run second the last time out. If it wins never make it a loser till it does lose [I didn’t invent this system! GS] then do not back it again until it gets second.
10. Back the most tipped horse in the fourth race of the day up to August 1. After August 1, back the most tipped horse in the last race of the day up to November. During November you back the second most tipped horse in the last race of the day.
11. [Those who remember serial losers, Amrullah and Quixall Crossett should look away now! – GS] When a horse has run ten times without winning, and is still in the same stable, follow it with a small stake each time it runs. If there are more than one in a race, back the lot, as the prices are always big. You can afford to follow each and increase slightly after each failure, as you missed them during their long run of ten losing races.
12. Back the favourite of the second and last race at the Principal Meeting each day. Commence with a stake of £1 then double up on both races until a winner. Each race must be worked separately.
13. The world’s simplest system – and certainly one of the best – is to support non-handicap favourites, especially in the second half of the fl at racing season.
14. Select the non-handicap race with the smallest field, provided that the forecast favourite is at odds against and there are six or more runners. The system bet is two points on the favourite and one point on the second favourite.
15. There are several ways of picking out likely horses for trebles. SP favourites will appeal to the majority. One suggestion is that the SP favourites in three non-handicap races be chosen daily.
16. Pay special attention to the favourites in two-yearold non-sellers.
17. This system operates on the Classics only and can claim 17 winning seasons in the last 21 (as of 1950). The plan is as follows: Back the (named) favourite in the 2000 Guineas. If this does not win, back the favourite in the 1000 Guineas. If this fails to win, back the favourite in the Derby, and so on until a winner turns up. Use the following simple plan: one point First Classic; two points Second Classic; four points Third Classic; six points Fourth Classic; nine points Fifth Classic.
18. The winners of important or very open handicaps are often fourth or fifth quotations (newspaper SP forecasts).
19. The system horse in any five furlong race is the highest-weighted winner last time out. If there are no runners which won last time out, the highest-weighted second is chosen. If there are no qualifying seconds, the highest-weighted third is supported. Never more than one horse per race is backed, for in the event of there being two horses that won or were placed last time out and both are equally weighted, the race is void.
20. From all horses in the race (handicap) who were placed second or third last time they ran, take the one carrying the most weight and the one carrying the least. Of these two back the one with the more recent placing, PROVIDED there is a horse in the race who won on his previous outing and who is not carrying LESS weight than the TOP WEIGHT [still following here? GS] of your seconds and thirds. It does not matter if there are other previous winners carrying LESS weight than the top weight [keep up now, GS] of your seconds and thirds, provided at least ONE previous winner is carrying equal or more weight. If there are two or more horses carrying most or least weight, take the one with most recent placing. If still a tie, decide on a second over a third. If still a tie, nothing is done on the race. Operate on only one meeting a day. [Simple, what? GS]
21. From the beginning of November, backers should support the SP favourites in chases of all lengths that are not handicap chases. These favourites do best in the period before Christmas.
22. Take the selection of a reliable correspondent or paper catering entirely for racing enthusiasts and back the first selection. If a loser, the next selection is backed and so on, until a winner is found. The betting stops at the first winner.
23. They say that January is a bad month for the backing of favourites. The system I have used in January (and later) with excellent results well deserves to be called a ‘Certainty’ system, yet the one rule is absurdly simple. It is this: Back the favourite in any type of race that has six runners or less.
24. Following a stable during the jumping season can be profitable. Small stables are better to follow than large ones for the reason that the smaller trainers, whose very living depends on getting winners for their clients, do not throw away entry fees or incur travelling expenses on horses that have not outstanding chances of winning. Choose a small one – or two – and stick to the stable entries. You will be on the jobs that are readied.
25. Best races for favourites ‘over the sticks’… Cheltenham: Hawling Hurdle; Cirencester Chase; Tewkesbury Chase; Gotherington Novices Hurdle. Liverpool: Champion Chase; Valentine Chase; Liverpool Foxhunters’ Chase. Sandown: Chertsey Chase; Lilac Open Chase; Warren Chase; Withington Chase; Grand Military Hunters’ Chase.
26. Follow all those that start at 20/1 or less in the Stewards’ Cup; the first in the betting back next time out only. The others, back until they win, or lose five times.
27. Keep a list of the naps given by any number of newspaper informants. After, say, six days, look over your records and back the nap of the informant who has lost most in succession.
28. Select a six-furlong event, choose the most valuable. The selection is the latest WINNER last time out, providing it has not missed any engagements since winning. If no winner, turn to SECONDS; and if no seconds, to THIRDS; if nothing discovered, pass over the day’s racing.
29. On course method: Back all horses in twoyear-old non selling races and three-year-old Maiden Races which start odds on, for Place only, providing there are at least five runners, with Minimum Stake.
30. Back any horse for the next two outings that has been the medium of a ‘Job’ and been beaten, providing it runs second or third. Only take horses that ‘fall’ at least six points from the price quoted in betting forecasts.
31. Back all horses which won the previous day at any meeting. Should two system horses run in the same race the bet should be worded to back either if only one runs, but if both run NO bet.
32. During the months of March, April and May take the first horse down which won on either of its last two outings in the first five-furlong race down the programme, if no race of this distance take the six furlong, then the seven furlong. Should there be two races or more which qualify take the one with most runners.
33. For June take the selling race and if more than one take the most valuable, if of same value take shortest distance. To find the horse take the one which was second in either of its last three outings, working upwards from the bottom of the race.
34. For July take the first horse down in the first race which won on either of its last two outings, but preference is given to the horse which won last time out. If no horse qualifies in that race take the sixth race, then the fifth and so on until a horse qualifies.
35. For the month of August take the fifth horse down which won the last time out in the first race. Should one fail to qualify take the first horse down which won last time out in the last race. No race to be taken with less than seven runners and if more than one meeting, take the most important.
36. For September take the first horse down the programme which won either of its last three outings previous to the last time out, and if more than one meeting, take the most important.
37. For the months of October and November take the first horse down which won either of its last three outings in the last race at the most important meeting. If no horse won take the first horse which was second in either of its last three outings; failing that, take the horse which was third in the last three outings.
38. Back the horse carrying the most weight of those placed last time out this year, but which is receiving NOT LESS THAN five pounds FROM THE TOP WEIGHT – but if only one horse is so placed, three pounds qualifies.
39. From the runners in each race select those finishing first or second last time out. Take away from these any quoted in the betting forecast of the early morning papers at less than 2/1. This will probably leave a sole selection to be backed each way. If two or more remain back the one best placed last time out or invest to win only on each.
40. Back the first and second favourites in every race. Each horse should be backed with a level stake but after a losing week [Just the one? – GS] the stakes for the following week should be increased by one quarter, coming back to the original stakes when a profit is shown.
41. List all horses that win races of six or more runners of from one mile to one mile and a quarter by four lengths or more. If two or more run in the same race back the one that won by the greatest number of lengths.
42. Select a two-year-old race and if the first horse mentioned in the betting forecast is more than 3/1, the horse to qualify is the second.
43. List two-year-olds beaten a neck or head in a field of ten or more. Follow all horses with a level stake the next time out until the animal in question is beaten. If two horses to be backed run in the same race back the one with most recent form.
44. Have three bets per week and stake as follows: £1 to win, the treble; £1 to win, three cross doubles; £1 to win, each horse singly. The choice of the horses rests with the backer.
45. Take six reputable [That’s the end of that system! – GS] sporting journalists attached to daily papers. Make a note of their daily naps and do not begin to bet until six consecutive losers have been given by one tipster. Then follow him until a winner turns up or four consecutive losers are backed. If more than three tipsters nap the same horse, ignore it, as the price is likely to be short.
46. List all first favourites placed second in fields of eight or more and beaten by not more than one and a half lengths. Back these next time out irrespective of the date when listed, provided they give six pounds or over away.
47. List all winners of £1,000 races or over [suggest rather heftier value these days, GS]. Back them next time out, also the time after, provided the weight is not increased by more than three pounds for every length the horse won by.
48. Choose two races in each of which the issue seems fairly clearly to rest with three horses. Suppose horses are A, B, C in one race and D, E, F in the other. Double them as follows – A.D., A.E., A.F., B.D., B.E., B.F., C.D., C.F. Try this, the WINS will surprise you.
49. Note the ‘most tipped’ horse of the day from the summary of any mid-day sporting paper. When the indicated horse has lost twice consecutively back the horse indicated on the third and fourth days only. If the horse wins on third day, ignore the fourth day’s indication and wait for two more ‘most tipped’ horses.
50. The last system Wood recommended in his legendary 100 World Famous Racing Systems (price 20 shillings – or, to you, a quid) is presumably his least favourite, or perhaps his most favourite, thus signing off with a fl ourish. Decide for yourself – and use it at your peril… ‘Horses backed are the ‘most tipped’ in each race obtained from newspaper summaries. The prices in the papers are halved, say Campanula is 9/2 you call this 9/4 [with him so far? GS]. To win £1 you would put 9 shillings [45 pence] on, and if this loses you back the next horse to win £1 and your 9 shilling loss. Each time you lose you add your loss to the amount you desire to win. When you get a winner, start again. Do not bet on the Flat for first three weeks of the season. Start at commencement of the Hurdle season. For one bet per day the most tipped horse in the last race, if absent, the next most tipped and carry on until a winning balance.’ [See you in the Poor House!! GS]

WHAT NOT TO DO

Those who have a bet on every race, on every day of the week
Those who back horses because they like their names
Those who back jockeys’ tips
Those who double up on the selections of a racing journalist when he is out of luck
Those who plunge on a horse because they know somebody who knows somebody else whose kitchen maid is walking out with a lad in the stable where the certainty is sheltered

NO BULLSHIT!

1. Seek where thou wilt for winners, but bet only when thou seest value; deliver thyself from the temptation to bet in every race.
2. Put not thy faith in luck, nor the law of averages,
nor thy trust in staking systems, for these are delusions.
3. Let thy stake be related to the depth of thy pocket and to what thou regardest as the true chance of the horse; that which hath the greater chance deserveth the greater stake.
4. Thou shalt not bet each-way in big fields unless thou art well satisfied as to the value of the place bet.
5. Bet with book or Tote according to the judgement: thus shalt thou endeavour to get the best of both worlds.
6. Thou shalt not bet ante-post except upon horses that are known to be definite runners.
7. Beware the man who would sell thee a system; if thou knowest a profitable one, preserve it to thyself in silence.
8. Double and treble if you must; but bet not upon objections, for thou hast not the evidence and the stewards know not what they do.
9. Let thy betting be informed by wisdom and diligence, and tempered by patience and caution, and leavened but a little with boldness.
10. Let thy bets be well within thy means: he that maketh his fortune in a week loseth his ducats in a day.

MAC’S CRACKERS

1. Back the horse that won the same race last year.
2. Back horses blinkered or visored for the first time.
3. Back the outsider of three.
4. If a top jockey is riding at his absolute minimum weight back his horse.
5. In handicaps restrict yourself to horses running off their old mark when their new rating will be higher.
6. In amateur and apprentice races, go for the most experienced and best jockey, whatever he or she is riding.
7. Consider the effect of the draw sensibly.
8. When studying a maiden race, find out whether any of the runners are engaged in big races later in the season; those that are must be highly rated.
9. Back the animal whose stable has sent it the longest distance for the race.
10. If the stable has more than one runner, go for the outsider.
11. Totally illogically, support horses with the same initials in forecasts.
12. Go for any horse whose racecard number is the same as its starting stall position.

PALEY’S PONDERINGS

1. The first question to ask when you want a bet is: How will this race be run? And the second: Will it suit the horse I am interested in backing?
2. Watch as many horse races as possible, even if the over-excitable Mark Johnson or the terminally bored Graham Goode is commentating.
3. Look at every horse in the race, not just the one you’ve backed.
4. Concentrate virtually wholly on the better class of animals in the higher-grade races.
5. Cram as much form study in as time will allow.
6. When you find a horse ‘coming to the boil’ and running into form back on a winnable rating, stick with it. It will almost certainly pay its way in time.
7. The going and the draw are the two most important variables in determining the outcome of any horse race.
8. If there are doubts about the going, draw bias, the price or any other highly important variable, wait till the very last minute until having a bet.
9. Keep your pockets sewn up when the ground is offi cially heavy.
10. The influence of weight is vastly overrated. In the majority of cases horses will not reverse the form despite being better off at the weights.
11. Only forgive a horse an unlucky-in-running run once. The vast majority who repeat the offence will repeatedly find trouble.
12. Follow horses that travel well in races and/or have demonstrated a turn of foot in a truly run race.
13. Look, look and look again at the stats history of the big races but use them intelligently. Buffoons on television telling us that no horse above draw nine can win the John Smith’s Cup should remember that that is only true when the ground isn’t on the soft side of good. And that’s a fact.
14. It’s the Cheltenham Festival, Royal Ascot, the Derby, the Grand National. You don’t HAVE to have a bet.
15. Concentrate at specialist courses like Brighton or Goodwood on horses that have demonstrated an ability to act at those tracks or have so much in hand their relative inability to do so won’t matter.
16. Study courses until you can study them no longer. Take on board that Ascot’s short straight requires different qualities in a horse than York or Newbury’s galloping terrains.
17. In sprints concentrate solely on horses in form.
18. The number of race meetings is set to continue growing at an alarming rate. Have an area you can specialise in, whether it be group races, sprints or middle-distance handicaps.
19. Think like a bookmaker. Compile your own betting forecast, but above all be honest with yourself. Ask yourself if you would really offer those odds if you were a layer.
20. Must-have books for any serious punters library: Nick Mordin, Betting For A Living; Alan Potts, Against the Crowd; Mark Coton, Value Betting. The best to start with is the Racing Post’s Definitive Guide to Betting on Horses.
21. Go to the paddock. Learn the different types of physique and the good and bad signs displayed by horses before the race. Nick Mordin’s book The Winning Look covers all the bases.
22. Never underestimate the psychology and emotion involved in gambling. If your mood swings are extreme you’ll find it difficult to survive the inevitable losing runs.
23. Put a bank together, one you’re comfortable with, and have a staking plan sorted out, one that suits your particular style of betting.

FRANCOME’S PADDOCK POINTERS

Ignore horses who are edgy and not cool, calm and collected – unless you are aware that this is their usual demeanour.
Forget about paddock inspection for jumpers, who spend too much time wrapped up in rugs.
Study horses with the light behind you and your head held still.
Never only look at the horses you fancy – check out the whole field.
Look for a coat with ‘real lustre’.
Sprinters must have broad chests, be well muscled and look powerful, from front, sideways and behind.
Try to listen out for the horse’s breathing – ‘You don’t want something you can hear coming a mile off.’
Big feet are an asset on soft ground.
Two year olds – the bigger and taller, the better.
Horses displaying evidence of sexual excitement – ‘You’re better off leaving them alone until they’ve had their knackers removed.’

JIM’S JOLLIES

‘You can analyse all the other factors – jockey, trainer, trip etc – but if the ground is wrong, none of it really matters.’
‘Try to leave placing your bet as late as possible. It’s diffi cult to keep an eye on movements in the betting ring AND get a good look at the horses but if you’re at the course you can gain a good impression of a horse’s well being by studying him in the pre-parade ring and then, if you like what you see, nip off to the ring to get on.’
‘Keep an eye out for horses moving up in distance if they have been noted as running on well towards the end of a shorter race.’
‘If a horse runs badly, and there is a good excuse, give it another chance. But if you don’t know why it ran badly, leave it alone.’
‘Don’t take the form in two-mile “bumpers”, National Hunt Flat Races, as an indication of equal merit with form over two miles on the Flat.’
‘A major (betting) move at a big meeting is much more significant than at a small meeting, where crowds are sparse.’
‘Be wary of first-time blinkers when fitted to stayers. With sprinters they often give a horse an edge.’
‘If a small trainer sends a horse on a very long journey to run, that could be the opportunity for a value bet.’

Systems Portfolio Rationale

When following systems you should never rely on just one golden goose to lay golden eggs. Treat horse racing systems like trading on the stock market: keep a portfolio.
No sensible stock market investor would just buy shares in one company, and no sensible system follower should just rely on one system.
If you just follow one system you are leaving yourself open to bad losing streaks which can deplete your bank and dent your confidence in a system.
It is far better to run many systems all at the same time. Doing so will iron out any fluctuations in performance. Just as a share price can go up and down, a systems performance can go up and down too. If you run various systems (covering different methods just as a share investor would cover different market sectors) throughout the year, you should be able to keep on making profits.

System #21 Spread Under Over

The next system is a system you can use with many sports. Fact, you can use it
with any sports where there are 2 outcomes. However, the best kind of bets is
the spread or the over under total.
Here’s why:
Let’s say we have these 2 games.
Team C vs Team D
So, the possible parlays are:
Team A X Team D
Team B X Team C
Th goal here will be to use only 3 out of 4 parlay. This way, you will cover 3 bets
out of 4 possible bets. The way you select which one of these 3 parlays you will
use is up to you.
What I like is going with patern like using the 2 lowest spread for the home team.
Usually, the home team will win the spread in at least 50% of the games. This is
why I like to use this kind of parlay.
When I say the lowest spread for the home team, here’s an example:
You will have to use the highest odds as possible. When it comes to the highest odds for spread betting, the best sportsbooks are pinnaclesports where you will usually find odds of -105 (1.95) and canbet where you will find odds of -107 (1.93).
So, basically, we will select 2 games and we will make 3 parlays with these 2 games. When you use 2 games, you have 4 possible parlay.
Team A vs Team B
Team A X Team C
Team B X Team D
These are the 4 parlay you can make with 2 games. This could be betting againts the spread or betting the total.
That means you will cover all the possible outcomes of these 2 home teams plus a third possible outcomes.
In this case, the spread is -4 or +4 depending of the team you choose. So, going
with the patern, we want to use the lowest favorite home team. That means, the
home team with the lowest spread as possible.
If you don’t know yet, pk means pick’em. Pk means a spread of 0 for both team.
So, in our case it will be the games:
Let’s say you have these games. So, the Away team is always the first one and the home team is the second one. Take a look at game 555-556. You see that Northeastern (+4) is the away team and they are facing Delaware (-4) which is the home team.
So looking at the screenshot, we see that the 2 games with the lowest spreads for a home team are games 547-548 at pk and games 549-550 at -1.5.
This is like a bet for a straigh win.
New Orleans (pk) At Florida Atlantic (pk)
And
Tulsa (+1.5) at Marshall (-1.5)
Ok, so, these will be the 2 games we will use in this example. Following the 3 parlays we have to make, we will make 3 parlays this way:
Parlay 1 New Orleans (pk) X Tulsa (-1.5)
Parlay 2 New Orleans (pk) X Marshall (-1.5)
Parlay 3 Florida Atlantic (pk) X Tulsa (-1.5)
Each parlay will give you a return of 3.80. Why ?
Now, something very inportant you need to know. We will use a session for each
specific patern we use. In fact, using this specific patern represent one session.
You can use many kind of paterns but the most important thing is that you need
to stick to your patern everyday. This is the reason why you’ll make money over
the long run.
As you can see, the only time we will lose is if Florida Atlantic (pk) and Tulsa (-1.5) win.
So, most of the time, we will win one of these parlays.
Now let’s look the numbers.
You will place 1 unit on 3 parlays. So, this is 1 X 1.95 X 1.95 = 3.80
Because you will make 3.80 and you have to substract 3 units. These 3 units are the units you have placed on each parlay. So, every time you win a parlay, you win 0.80 unit.
If you stop or change or mix patern together, this is where you will experience more loses that you want and you will lose money.
Other patern could be, the 2 highest spread for home team or for the away team.
Or the 2 highest total or lowest total or highest total, etc...It is up to you.
Ok, now, using the patern of the 2 lowest spreads for the home team, here’s the results we had for November 2007 for NCAA Basketball.
L-W-L-L-W-W-W-W-W-L-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-L-W-W-W-W-W-W-W
Total Bets: 27
Total Wins: 22
Total Loses: 5
Win percentage:81%
So, here, just by following the same rule to pick our team, we end the month with a total of 81% win and a profit just by flat betting.
In fact, placing 3 parlay at odds 3.80 for each parlay is like placing a single bet at odds 1.26.
With these results for the month of November 2007, we have these results.
22 wins of 0.80 units = 17.6 units
5 loses of 3 units = 15 units
17.6 – 15 = +2.6 units. This is our profit.
However, we we have to understand that the results won’t always be like this but there is a way to protect our bankroll and make some money.
In fact we will write down the results and we will wait for a lose of our bets. Right
after a losing bet, we will start a slow progression. This slow and small
progression will be:
So, our goal is to win some money after a losing bet. But because you will win
many more bets than you will lose, you won’t have many bets a month. This is
why you can use many sessions at the same time. This is where the money is
made.
So,
Day 1: No bet Lose
Day 3: No bet Lose
Day 6: Bet 4 units on each parlay Win Profit +3.21 units Stop the
X – 2X – 4X
That’s it.
Now, let’s see what happen with this progression with the November 2007 results.
So, on a piece of paper, make your 3 parlays followng the rule of your choice. Here, it was the 2 home teams with the lowest spread.
Day 2: Bet 1 unit on each parlay Win profit +0.80 Stop session
Day 4: Bet 1 unit on each parlay Lose Profit -3 units
Day 5: Bet 2 units on each parlay Win Profit +1.60 units
session
Day 7: No bet Win
Day 8: No bet Wn
Day 10: No bet Lose Start a new session
Day 11: Bet 1 unit on each parlay Win Profit of +0.80
Day 13: No bet Win
Day 14: No bet Win
Day 24: No bet Win
Day 25: No bet Win
Day 27: No bet Win
Total Profit:+4.21 units
Day 9: No bet Win
Day 12: No bet Win
Day 15: No bet Win
Day 16: No bet Win
Day 17: No Bet Win
Day 18: No Bet Win
Day 19: No bet Win
Day 20: No bet Lose Start the session
Day 21: Bet 1 unit on each parlay Win Profit +0.80
Day 22: No Bet Win
Day 23: No bet Win
Day 26: No bet Win
So, for sure +4.21 units for the entire month isn’t a big profit but this is a profit. This is why, when you use other patern to select your games and if you run many sessions at the same time, you will make more money.
For example, if you use only 10 sessions a day, you will have to place 30 bets everyday but the result will be a profit of around 35 units every month. This is where the money is.
You can expect this kind of result with any kind of patern as long as you stick to your patern everyday.
I have many clients that use up to 20 sessions at the same time and they have a
lot of success. They use different kind of sports.
Again, here’s what you have to do:
- Place you 3 parlay only on paper always by covering the same
patern. Example, place your teams this way:
- Always place these 3 parlays:
Team A X Team D
- Place the appropriate amount of unit on each parlay by following the
progression X – 2X – 4X
- First select 2 games following a patern you will use everyday. The choice is up to you. It could be the 2 lowest spread for the homw favorite or the 2 highest spread for the home favorite, the over / under total etc. The most important point is that you have to follow this patern everyday.
Team A vs Team B
Team C vs Team D
Team A X Team C
Team B X Team C
- Wait for a lose
- As soon as you make a profit, stop the progression and wait for another lose
- Run as many sessions as you like

System #20 Midrange low risk

This system is very easy to use and it is perfect for the sports gambler who want to achieve a good profit over the long run without risking a large bankroll.
When you start a session, you’ll start your initial amount in a midrange
rather than 1 unit. The advantage is that a win followed by a
loss, will produce a profit. So will a loss followed by a win. If you
start with 1 unit and don't reduce your bet after you win, a loss
followed by a win will break even instead of gaining 1 unit. That's
why, it's advantageous to start with say 10 or 20 units, a parameter
you can change in the spreadsheet. Then you can move to either
direction on a loss or on a win.
Now, to see how it works, we’ll take a look at some example.
We’ll also assume that our betting unit is $5. So, if you have to play
20 units, it’s 20 X $5 = $100.
As you already know, everybody can achieve a 50% winning rates over the long run. Even if you make your selection by flipping a coin, you’ll reach a 50% winning rate on the long run. THIS IS A FACT.
The system use a very simple progression that is after a loss, you go up 3 units and after a win, you go down 2 units. Simple as that. As soon as you are over in your bankroll, you stop the session and you start another one.
It’s just like the stock exchange. You buy something, you watch the price fluctuate and you sell when you can make a profit.
For every example, we’ll assume that the odds are always 1.93 (-107).
Day Units W/L Profit Tot. Profit
1 20 L -100 -100
2 23 W +106.95 +6.95
You end the session with a profit of $6.95. This is with a 50% winning rate (1-1). With flat betting you would have been down.
Day Units W/L Profit Tot. Profit
2 23 L -115 -215
4 29 W +134.85 -210.15
8 26 L -130 -205.45
11 30 W +139.50 -62.15
14 29 W +134.85 +76.85
End of the session. You end with a winning rate of 50% and a profit of
$76.85.
With flat betting $100 a game, you would be down by -$49.
Now, here’s a simulation of a bad streak.
1 20 L -100 -100
3 26 L -130 -345
5 27 L -135 -345.15
6 30 W +139.50 -205.65
7 28 W +130.20 -75.45
9 29 L -145 -350.45
10 32 W +148.80 -201.65
12 28 L -140 -202.15
13 31 W +144.15 -58
That’s it for this system. As you can see, it’s very easy to apply and it works very well. You can also assign to the unit the value you feel
comfortable to play with. You can start with $0.50 or $100 and more. It’s up to you.
Good luck with this system !

System #18 Underdogs

The next system is a system that use underdogs. This system is especially designed for betting on baseball. In other words, you will bet on baseball underdogs.
One very important thing that you should remember is that sports gambler loves their favorites. Oddsmakers know this and they know that the natural tendency of almost every sports gamblers is to think that the spreads, set by oddsmakers, represents how much a team is favored to win the game.
Well, the fact is that oddsmakers set the spreads based on public perception with the goal of getting 50% of bettors to bet on each team (each side). By doing this, sportsbooks are come out ahead no matter who win the game.
Now, I’ll keep this chapter short and to the point.
One thing you should know is that a lot of pro sports gamblers are using this system to make thousands of dollars every month with this system.
Fact: In baseball, there is a law of average showing that over an entire season, underdogs will beat favorites about 4 games out of 9 (44%). Even with money lines of 2.25, 2.35, 2.50.
Example:
If you bet $25 on 9 underdogs with odds of 2.35 (+135), you will make 4 X $25 X 2.35 = $235 – 9 X $25 = $225. So you end with a profit of $10.
So, in order to help you select the best underdogs and this way, make more money, you will have to follow 3 simple rules in your selection of underdogs.
3 Rules to follow:
1) You must eliminate the game where the underdog has lost 3 or more games in a row or the favorite has won 3 or more games in a row. Remember that every baseball team face some long losing streaks as well as long winning streaks.
2) Eliminate games where the money line for the underdog are higher then 2.50 (+150). If this is the case, there is a reason and you must avoid these games.
3) Eliminate games where the underdog is facing a very good pitcher. If they’re facing a pitcher who’s in the top 20 of the MLB, move on to another selection. You can use any newspaper as well as a lot of web sites to have access to this information. www.tsn.com is a good one. The pitchers standing must be according to earned-run average (ERA).
So, everyday, if you follow these 3 rules on a day with as many as 15 games, you should be left with between 3 and 9 underdogs team to bet on.
Amount to bet:
It is really up to you. Betting around 1.25% to 2.5% of your bankroll is ok. So, if you have a $1000 bankroll, 2.5% means that you will bet $25 a game.
Now everyday, all you have to do is check the MLB schedule and eliminate the games following the 3 rules.
After that, you’re ready to bet !
Now, let’s see an example. We’ll take a look at a real week just to see how it works.

WIN LOSE PROFIT TOTAL PROFIT
2 1 +$25 +$140.75
By using the system, you end the week with 13 wins and 11 loses (54.1%). And all for underdogs. You make a great profit of $140.75.
Fact to remember:
Fact: In baseball, there is a law of average showing that over an entire season, underdogs will beat favorites about 4 games out of 9 (44%). Even with money lines of 2.25, 2.35, 2.50.
Rules to Remember:
Good luck with this system!

System #17 Going Streaks

Alright…we’ll still in the MLB streaks for the other system. However, this next system can be use for any kind of sports but it is perfect for baseball because of the fact that most of the team have winning and losing streak.
So, in this chapter, I just want to give a little but how much powerful system that every part time sports gambler should know.
I know that there is a lot of baseball fans so, that’s why the examples will be about baseball but you can always use this system with any sports. However, baseball offers the most possibilities.
So…here we go…
Summer is the time to bet on baseball. Of course, in North America, this is the only sports that we can bet on everyday during the summer. But if you know some little but very important things, you can make a lot of money with the MLB.
First thing you need to know is that it’s time to bet on underdogs. Yes, absolutely.
During the regular season, each of the 30 team will play 162 games. This is a possibility of 4860 games to bet on. Of these 4860 games, 44% WILL BE WON BY THE UNDERDOGS. This is an amazing fact.
Every 100 game, over 40 games are won by an underdog with odds over 2.00 ( +100).
Another fact. Take the MLB stats and you’ll see that most of the time, a team will win more than one game in a row. You will see a team wins 7 to 10 games in a row many times a year. This kind of pattern only happen in the MLB. Why ? This is baseball! Another reason is the number of game.
Ok, here’s a little system I use every baseball season and I have a lot of success. We will use the 2 facts above and a system called “Let It Ride”.
We will simply invest a little amount and if we win, we will use the profit to bet on another game on the same team. You can do it as many time as you want and snowball your profit. But I think that 3 to 4 times is perfect.
Does this system works ?
Remember the 2004 season when the Tampa Bay Devil Rays won 12 games in a row as underdog ?
Well, my friend, if you would be at Las Vegas, you would have turned $10 into over $500,000 within 2 weeks. Yes. This is money!
Of course it takes some luck because this is gambling but you can be assured that someone did it for this winning streak.
As for myself, I like to try a 10 game winning streak. Couple of weeks ago, that’s what I did with the Pittsburgh Pirates. They were hot for a couple of days and they were 3-0 when I started to bet on them. They were always underdog.
You know the results. They won 10 games in a row and for an initial bet of $10, I made over $3000 in pure profit. Was I lucky ? Yes of course, but if you don’t try it, you’ll never make it. Simple as that.
However, if you want to make a good profit over the baseball season with this system, here’s what you should do.
First, never bet “let it ride” for more than 4 games in a row.
Second, bet on the teams with an average between .450 and .550. If you want to bet on teams that play over .550 like the Yankees or the Red Sox, use the run line of –1.5.
Third, always bet the same amount each game until a win. When you win, let it ride for 4 games and collect the profit. Then start again.
There is a lot of possibility every week.
Just look at how many team have a 4 wins streak at
http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/standings.
Now, here’s how it works.
Instead of buying a lottery ticket every week, take a little $10 and pick a team that can easily win 4 games in a row. Let’s take the Yankees as example.
Let’s say we take them with the run line of –1.5 because they are always (most of the time) an heavy favourite.
Let’s say that the odds are in average 2.15
First game, you place a $10 bet at 2.15
You win. Now you have $21.50 to bet.
Game #2, you place your $21.50 bet at 2.15.
You win. Now you have $46.22 to bet.
Game #3, you place a $46.22 bet at 2.15
You win. Now you have $99.37 to bet.
Game #4, you place your $99.37 bet at 2.15.
You win.
Total won = $213.64
Not bad for a small $10! And the good thing is that if you lose, you lose only $10!
Of course, you’ll not win every time but you’ll make more money with this system than taking a lottery ticket! Good luck and have fun!

System #16 Baseball Streaks

The next system is especially designed for baseball. That means that you can’t use this system with other sports through out the year. However, I can guarantee you that you’ll be very happy every April of each year when the MLB season will start.
You’ll see that this system is simply amazing. Since I discovered this system, I play it every baseball season and I always have incredible results. It’s just wonderful.
The concept of this system is very simple but very powerful. A fact that you may know is that in the MLB, there is a lot of winning streaks and losing streaks for almost every team. That is what we will use in this system.
What you will do is bet on a team while they’re on a winning streak or bet on a team while they’re on a losing streak.
All you have to do is pick a team anytime of the year that you think will have a winning streak or a losing streak. However, my advise to you would be to don’t pick a team that is a dynasty like the New York Yankees, The Red Sox or The Atlanta Braves. The reason is very simple. The bookmakers know that people are always betting on these team and the odds will be against you. Remember that the odds value are all about public perception.
All right…when you picked your team, you’ll wait for a specific signal. As you may know, there is a lot of casino system that use this kind of notion. You have to wait for a signal in order to start the system. There is some roulette systems where you have to wait for a signal like 4 reds in a row or 3 even numbers in a row or a dozen that doesn’t show for 10 spins in order to make a bet.
Well, it is the same thing with this system but in sports betting like in baseball, there is some facts that are very different than in every casino games. One of these fact is about the winning streaks and the losing streaks. You can use these facts against the sportsbooks.
Ok…so, when you have chosen your team, you wait for a signal. If you think that your team will have a winning streak, you wait for a win of your team. If you think that your team will suffer a losing streak, you wait for a lose of that team. When this signal occurs, it’s time to place your bet.
This will allows you to catch your team when they enter in a winning or losing streak. Your session will be over when a winning team loe a game or when a losing team win a game.
You will make 1 to 3 bet on this team on the money line in amounts that you need to win a predetermined amounts in the series. These amounts are X, X, 1/2X (or 0.5X).
IMPORTANT:
The series doesn’t end until you win 3 bets in a row or lose 1 bet. In this case, you pocket the profit you made and you wait for another signal to occur.
If you’ve selected a team to lose 3 game in a row, the session end when they loses 3 game in a row or when they win one game.
Ok, now let’s see how this really work.
The formula is very simple, X, X, 0.5X
First of all, you need to know the amount you want to bet. If you want to play with a $100 unit, the formula will be:
100 – 100 – 50
If you find this amount too high, you can choose any amount you feel comfortable with.
Now, here’s how it works:
First, select a team you think will win. You can do the same with a team you think will lose.
Wait for a signal. If you go with a winning team, wait for a win. If you go with a losing team, wait for a lose.
When the signal happens, place the necessary bet in order to win your first amount of $100.
If you first bet wins, place a second bet in order to win the second amount in the series which is $100.
If you win your second bet, place a third bet in order to win the third predetermined amount of $50.
If you win your third bet, the session is over. Add your profit to your bankroll and wait for another signal for the same team or another one.
If you lose your first bet, start a new session by tracking a new signal and start another series.
In fact, you wait for a signal, you bet following the formula until you win 3 game in a row or lose one game. Simple as that.
Now to see how it works in the “Real Life”, let’s take a look at the Houston Astros from August 6th to September 6th 2004.
Game Line Bet Win W/L Profit
1 1.36 - - W -
2 1.80 125 100 L -$125
Run Line
3 1.78 - - L -$125
Run Line
4 2.10 - - L -$125
5 1.55 - - W -$125
6 2.20 84 100 L -$209
7 1.51 - - L -$209
8 1.97 - - L -$209
9 2.25 - - W -$209
10 1.78 129 100 W -$109
11 1.68 147 100 W -$9
12 2.08 47 50 W +$41
You start to track the Astros for a win. This happens at game #1. So, you start to bet on them at game 2 but you lose. Now, you have to accept the lose and wait for another signal. The second signal happens at game #5. The next game you start to bet but you lose again. Again, you have to accept the lose and wait for another signal.
The third signal happens at game #9. You start to bet on the Astros at game #10 and you win 3 game in a row following the formula 100, 100, 50. You end the session with a clear profit of $41.
Game Line Bet Win W/L Profit
13 1.82 - - L +$41
14 2.45 - - W +$41
15 1.83 120 100 L -$79
16 1.57 - - W -$79
17 1.89 113 100 W +$21
18 1.98 102 100 W +$123
19 2.80 28 50 L +$95
As you can see, you wait for another signal of one win and this happens at game #14. So, you start betting at game #15 but you lose. You have to accept the lose and wait for another signal that happens at game #16. You start to place your bet at game # 17 and you win 2 in a row. The third bet of $50 is lost but you make a good profit from the previous bet and end the session with a total profit of $95.
Game Line Bet Win W/L Profit
20 2.30 - - W +$95
21 2.26 80 100 W +$195
22 2.19 84 100 W +$295
23 2.65 30 50 W +$345
You wait for the signal and it happens at game #20. You end the session with 3 wins in a row. So, you wait for another signal.
Game Line Bet Win W/L Profit
24 1.83 - - W +$345
25 1.91 110 100 W +$445
26 1.50 200 100 W +$545
27 1.61 82 50 W +$595
Again here you win 3 game in a row and your total profit is $595. You wait for another signal.
Game Line Bet Win W/L Profit
28 1.57 - - W +$595
29 1.55 182 100 W +$695
30 1.56 182 100 W +$795
31 1.61 100 50 W +$845
Run Line
As you can see, you end another session with 3 wins in a row and you end one month of plays with a clear profit of $845. Of course the Astros had a long winning rate of 10 games in a row but this kind of things happens really often in the MLB.
As you can see in the example, you can also use the run line when you place a bet. When the odds are too low (like 1.30 (-300)) and you back your team 100% that they can win by at least 2 runs, take the run line. You will have better odds.
Conclusion
1) First, select a team you think will win. You can do the same with a team you think will lose.
2) Wait for a signal. If you go with a winning team, wait for a win. If you go with a losing team, wait for a lose.
3) When the signal happens, place the necessary bet in order to win your first amount of $100.
4) If you first bet wins, place a second bet in order to win the second amount in the series which is $100.
5) If you win your second bet, place a third bet in order to win the third predetermined amount of $50.
6) If you win your third bet, the session is over. Add your profit to your bankroll and wait for another signal for the same team or another one.
7) If you lose your first bet, start a new session by tracking a new signal and start another series.
In fact, you wait for a signal, you bet following the formula until you win 3 games in a row or lose one game. Simple as that.
Good luck with this system!
Another thing that is important is that even if you win game in a row (your first two bets), if the odds of you third game are very low like 1.33 (-300), you can end the session right now. You don’t need to risk $150 to win $50 if you won the 2 previous bet. You have a chance to lose a big part of your winnings.
